What a month April was. Don’t think we knew if we were coming or going on the farm. Finally the cows made it out to the fields and they were just a little bit excited.. It wasn’t just the cows feeling the release. What a long few months it’s been. The weather really has taken its toll on the farm. The pumpkins and squash have been planted and the tractor finally managed to get into the field to plough it.
We would also like to apologise for cancelling ‘Spring at the Farm’. It wasn’t an easy decision to make but ultimately we had to think about the farm and our fields. The parking field was waterlogged it would of been mayhem. Never fear though as ‘Open Farm Sunday’ takes place on the 10th June and it free entry!!!
The whole farm is full of bird song (we’ve seen our first Swallow - 2 weeks later than usual) and it’s so nice to finally hear it. Part of me keeps expecting Bambi to appear in the yard and the birds to break into some dance routine. The other parts of me realise I am just so grateful to feel the sun on my face.
Events: The Wind in the Willows
”Scripts for Supper is an immersive, theatrical dining experience with a difference created by - MasterChef Semi-Finalist Annie McKenzie. The evenings are pretty darn special. We’ve never had less than a 5* review, and have been featured in Sainsbury’s Mag, Hello Mag, Devon Life, Exeter Life and all over the blogosphere. The chosen story is told through adapted excerpts; the actors double up as waiters and the food brings you into the world of the play. We have three guest chefs working on The Wind in the Willows, all super successful ex-MasterChef contestants. Juanita Hennessey, Chris Hale and Alex Parker. Essentially, it’s an evening you’ll not forget in a hurry, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone through the door and into a new world.
Tickets are £40 for a cocktail, canapés, three courses and the show. It’s going to be a very special evening with great food, music, performance, merriment and a drink or two.

Staying on the farm: We've built a new kitchen for the Shepherd's hut. Possibly one of the best kitchen window views in Devon. The shepherd's hut is tucked away at the top of a field. You can spend an evening warming by the fire pit and taking in the stars above you.
